Spring and Grief

Spring and Grief

It is spring and as much as I want it to be warm and lively, it brings the month of May and my dread for preparing myself for my daughter’s 31st birthday and the 3rd anniversary of her death. Spring and grief just don’t seem to fit in the same sentence together, but I find myself staying strong in knowing that my daughter’s life wasn’t in vain.  Her donation of life through four other people just makes it easier to pull through. Spring brings new beginnings and with this, I know she has brought new beginnings of hope and life for her recipients.  This gives me comfort so that I can grieve with that in mind and wade the waters of my life inch by inch in hopes of making a smoother acceptance of my loss. Donation has made my grief easier and given my heart stilts to keep it higher in love.

Remembering you Sweet Tristan, my daughter….
