CARING
FOR
FAMILIES

Caring for the families of our donor heroes is one of the most important things we do.

Starting the moment donation is introduced, we provide counseling, support and resources to thousands of family members each year.

Grief Support Spotlight:
Children’s Support Journey

In 2022, we provided resources and guidance to the families of 320 children to aid them in navigating their grief after the loss of a loved one. This support included our second-annual Donor Hero Camp, where 34 campers – all children from donor families – came together to share experiences, participate in summer camp activities and receive counseling.

THE DONOR HONOR GAURD

INTRODUCING THE DONOR HONOR GAURD

The first program of its kind in the nation, the Donor Honor Guard formally honors donors at their funerals and celebrations of life, upon the request of their families. The ceremony, which is conducted by trained volunteer advocates, many of whom are also donor family members, is part of our Funeral Home Partnership program
