The decision to write to your loved one’s recipients or your donor’s family is a personal choice. Some transplant recipients and families of donor heroes choose to write to each other, and others do not. Indiana Donor Network is bound by medical ethics and privacy regulations to keep the identities of donors and recipients confidential unless permission is given by both parties, and we take this privacy seriously.

Indiana Donor Network may be able to facilitate communication between donor families and recipients but only if both parties are open to it.

If you would like assistance writing your letter, or have any other questions, a member of our team would be honored to assist you. Indiana Donor Network’s Aftercare Support team can be reached at 888.275.4676 or email
