Our advocates contribute in many ways to help educate Hoosiers about the importance of organ and tissue donation and transplantation. Advocacy promotes the gift of life and builds friendships.

Donor families who become advocates say that volunteering for Indiana Donor Network has provided them with a sense of hope and healing that has further helped them through their grief journey. Transplant recipients and other members of the community also choose to become volunteer advocates.

Serving as an Indiana Donor Network advocate is a way of staying connected to my wife. I know if the roles had been reversed she'd definitely be doing this and being there for me. It’s just a wonderful way to carry on in her memory.
