2022 Transplant Games Team Indiana – Jeannine McKinney

July 14, 2022

Multi-organ transplant recipient Jeannine McKinney, 52, of Franklin is a Team Indiana member who’ll be competing in the 2022 Transplant Games of America July 29-Aug. 3 in San Diego. McKinney will compete in singles and doubles bowling and darts.

Jeannine McKinney, 52, of Franklin, Indiana received a liver, pancreas, small intestine and stomach transplant in 2011 after being diagnosed with Caroli disease, a rare and inherited genetic condition that causes the bile ducts in the liver to be wider than usual.

“I’m very excited to meet fellow transplant recipients and donor families at the games,” she said. “I want to honor my donor hero, who was a 12-year-old boy.”

McKinney will be competing in singles and doubles bowling and darts.
