Indiana Ranks 6th in National Hospital Campaign

We are excited to share that Indiana Donor Network and Indiana hospitals ranked 6th nationally in the Workplace Partnership for Life (WPFL) campaign. The WPFL is a national initiative that unites the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the organ donation community with workplaces throughout the nation to spread the word about the importance of organ, tissue and eye donation.
The WPFL hospital campaign is an extension of that effort where hospitals work to raise awareness of donation and transplantation with the goal of registering more individuals as organ, tissue, and eye donors within their hospital facilities and in their community. Hospitals do this through many activities such as donor registration events, social media campaigns, internal hospital education and donor memorial services.
Hospitals work to achieve different levels of recognition throughout the duration of the campaign ranging from bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. Seventy-two Indiana hospitals enrolled in the 2017 campaign with 55 achieving at least the bronze level recognition. 14 Indiana hospitals achieved the highest, platinum level recognition in 2017.
