A program that honors school-aged donor heroes within their schools

The Hometown Donor Hero program honors donor heroes within their school. This program offers ways for families and communities to share the impact of your donor hero’s gift of life, made possible through organ and tissue donation.
Events Honoring Donor Heroes
As part of the Hometown Donor Hero program, Donate Life Indiana coordinates events, at the request of families of donor heroes, within the donor hero’s school to further honor their lifesaving gifts.
Please know that we are honored to personalize any event to best fit the needs of your family and school, and our team will work alongside you to create a meaningful program when the time feels right.
Past events have included:
- Recognition and moment of silence at a sports or academic event.
- A school-wide or single-grade-level convocation.
- An after-school honorary event.
- A school-wide blue and green day.
- An informational tabling event in a high-traffic area.
