Working with others in a shared mission can be a rewarding experience—and it can make a real difference.

Indiana Donor Network volunteer advocates contribute in many ways to help educate Hoosiers across the state about the importance of organ and tissue donation. Volunteering for Indiana Donor Network is a great way to promote the gift of life, build friendships and have fun all at the same time.

Volunteer advocates live in communities across Indiana and, depending upon their interest and time commitment, participate in a variety of activities including…

“Serving as an Indiana Donor Network advocate is a way of staying connected to my wife. I know if the roles had been reversed she’d definitely be doing this and being there for me. It’s just a wonderful way to carry on in her memory.”

“Volunteering allows this walking miracle to gain knowledge, share my experience to bring hope to others, help ease uncertainties some may have about being an organ/tissue donor and connect with others who have shared a lifesaving experience like myself.”

Indiana Donor Network provides training and ongoing support for the organization’s volunteers who are able to choose activities that match their interests, skills and schedule. Volunteers are required to commit at least 16 hours of service to the organization each year. Many Indiana Donor Network volunteers find the experience so rewarding and enjoyable that they serve many more hours than required.
