Transplant recipients and their families can receive support from many different sources, including group gatherings, educational programs, one-on-one consultation, social activities, newsletters, websites, and phone and email communication. Indiana Donor Network offers opportunities and resources for recipients and families to celebrate the new life received through organ transplantation.

Communicating With Your Donor's Family

Your decision to write to your donor family is a very personal choice. Some recipients choose to write to their donor’s family, and others do not. Indiana Donor Network is bound by medical ethics and privacy regulations, and we take recipient and donor privacy very seriously. Indiana Donor Network may be able to facilitate communication between donor families and recipients, but only if both parties are open to it.

To learn more communications process and how to write to your donor family visit, our communications page.
