16th annual Night of Light Dec. 8 in downtown Evansville

Hosted by Indiana Donor Network, longtime holiday event honors area residents who saved lives by being organ and tissue donors

 

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Vanderburgh County residents will gather to honor local organ and tissue donors and their selfless decisions to save lives at a holiday tree lighting ceremony Dec. 8 in downtown Evansville.

The 16th annual Night of Light hosted by Indiana Donor Network will include refreshments for the public, opportunities for families to take photographs with Santa, holiday activities and a program to celebrate the gift of life. Attendees are welcome to bring a holiday ornament to place on the tree in honor of their loved one or to celebrate the gift of life.

4:30 pm CST

  • 4:30 pm – indoor activities.
  • 5:30 pm – outdoor public program and tree decorating.
  • 6:30 pm – event concludes.

Old National Events Plaza

New this year, Night of Light will start indoors in Old National’s conference room Locust CF with light refreshments. The traditional tree decorating and lighting ceremony will be outside.
