5 Hoosier students awarded educational scholarships by Indiana Donor Network Foundation

INDIANAPOLIS – Five Hoosier students have been awarded educational scholarships by Indiana Donor Network Foundation.

Each year, the foundation awards scholarships to deserving family members of Indiana organ and tissue donors, transplant recipients, living donors and others. Recipients often become advocates for organ and tissue donation. The scholarships are funded by the foundation and contributions by Indiana Donor Network employees.

 

Ainsley Strothkamp, a graduate of Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana, has been awarded an $8,000 scholarship. She will study engineering at Purdue University beginning this fall. Read her story here.

 

Faith Curry, a graduate of North Posey High School in Poseyville, Indiana, has been awarded a $6,500 scholarship. She will attend University of Louisville this fall to study business administration. Read her story here.

 

Mollie Pearson, a graduate of North High School in Evansville, Indiana, has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship. She is a sophomore at University of Southern Indiana studying business administration and entrepreneurship in small business. Read her story here.

 

Brodie Forman, a graduate of Lanesville Jr./Sr. High School in Lanesville, Indiana, has been awarded a $3,500 scholarship. She will attend Butler University in the fall and plans to study English with a concentration on literary theory, culture and criticism. Read her story here.

 

Erica Freeman-Swaim, a graduate of Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Indiana, was awarded a $2,000 scholarship. She attends Indiana Wesleyan University and is studying occupational therapy and hippotherapy. Read her story here.

 

Those eligible for scholarships include both traditional and nontraditional students who submit an essay describing their career goals, experience with organ and tissue donation and transplantation, and personal goals.
