Indiana Donor Network Hires Community Development Manager

October 8, 2020

Emily Kibling

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Donor Network announces Emily Kibling, APR, has joined the organization as manager of community development.

In this role, Kibling will oversee the team that provides education and inspires Hoosiers across the state on the topic of organ, tissue and eye donation. The team’s focused efforts with Indiana schools, multicultural communities and community leaders have contributed to almost 4.2 million Hoosiers registered as organ, tissue and eye donors as of September 2020. Additionally, the team is responsible for managing relationships with funeral homes across the state, another key stakeholder group in the donation world.

Kibling comes to Indiana Donor Network from Indianapolis-based Hirons, a full-service public relations and advertising agency. At Hirons, she served as an account director responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans focused around public outreach, community development, internal communications and marketing efforts. She also previously worked as an account director at the public relations and advertising agency Borshoff. Kibling is accredited in public relations through the Public Relations Society of America. She is the immediate past president of the PRSA Hoosier Chapter and secretary of the board for the Domestic Violence Network.

Kibling says she’s looking forward to working with an organization that truly changes lives. “Each person at Indiana Donor Network plays a role in changing the trajectory of life for a waiting transplant recipient or in making sure donor heroes are celebrated every step of the way,” said Kibling. “Knowing that the work I am doing every day can, in some small way, change a life is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.”
