INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Donor Network, the state’s federally-designated organ procurement organization and an accredited tissue bank, has hired Amy Pruitt as manager of tissue services.

In this role, Pruitt will help the organization fulfill its mission to save and enhance lives through organ and tissue donation by overseeing daily operations and a staff of 23 in the tissue services department. In 2019, 1,768 tissue donors saved and healed up to 75 lives each through Indiana Donor Network’s tissue services program.

Pruitt comes to Indiana Donor Network from Axogen, Inc., in Dayton, Ohio, where she held the roles of tissue processing supervisor and site quality systems specialist. Prior to that, Pruitt spent a decade in supervisory and management positions in blood banking, with LifeShare Community Blood Services in Elyria, Ohio, and plasma banking, with CSL Plasma in Springfield, Ohio.

Pruitt says her passion for helping others through donation led her to Indiana Donor Network. “I always look forward to learning new processes, new sides of the industry and new technologies,” said Pruitt. “I’m extremely excited to be a part of the team at Indiana Donor Network, where everyone is so passionate about the mission and the importance of donation.”
